New York Times:Japan Quake Kills at Least 6 and Injures Hundreds

Earth quake hits Japan hard! Today at 12:50 a 6.8 earth quake hit japan, and it killed 6 people. But also this earth quake injured 700 people and left some people homeles with no shelter. Aftershocks could be felt for several hours after the quake, including a large one at 3:37 p.m. that was as far away as Tokyo. Not only did the earth quake cause damge to people but also Japan senerie. The second earth quake of the day was rated at 6.6, it caused minor tsunamis and it split roads and streets in half, the earth quake hit so hard that it seemed to have knocked over a local train off of the train tracks. thats not all, it caused a very expensive high speed bullet train to be shut down of service. Power lines for electricty and gas were cut off, and water supplies were cut off to thousands of local homes. Nuclear reactors at power plants in the affected area were shut down automatically, but the quake caused a small fire at an electrical transformer at the nuclear plant in Kashiwazaki. This earth quake was devastating, it shows that earth quakes can happen anywhere if japans not really known for there deadly earth quakes no tellin were the next one will hit
