when Amir travels back to Pakistan he meets up with Rahim Khan he is very sick.Rahim Khan found Hassan in 1986 he was married Ali was killed by a land mine. Rahim Khan handed amir a picture of Hassan he was living under the taliban, in the picture he wrote he wanted to see Amir. When Hassan and his wif were at home they were shot dead refusing to leave.Hassan had a son,Rahim Khan tells amir that him and Hassan were half brothers. Amir was ferious at his dad for stealing his brother and Hassans life. he then decided to go to Kabul to save his nephew. he enters Kabul and he is shocked by the poverty and begging kids. Sohrab was adopted and taken to Ghazi stadium. Amir set up an appointment with the official,it was Assef. they faught for saharab and Amir one!
when Amir and Baba flee from Pakistan to america they end up in a California city called Fremont. there they begin thier lives, Baba and Amir at first do not fit in at all. to Amir this was just a place for amir to bury his memories he said, but for Baba his was a place to mourn his memories. At the age of 20 Amir graduated from highschool. After the graduation Baba gets drunk and he has Amir drive hime home. as they pull up they he see's a car and its for Amir. and his dad tells him he can use it for college. Amir upsets Baba when he tells him when he goes to college he wants to major in English. when Amir meets Saroya, he begins to court with Saroya. he Stops flirting because her dad does not aprove of them. then Saroya secret comes out and she is not pure. Baba has lung cancer.Amir and Saroya get married. then Baba dies. and Amir writes his first story in 1988.
days after the tournament Amir and Hassan arent realy friends. At first Hassan avoids coming into any sort contact with Amir. Eventualy Hassan tries to be friends Again but Amir pushes Hassan away. Baba starts to lighten up and him and Amir are doing very well they have no problems at the moment. Until one day Amir just cant stand Hassan, Amir asked his dad if he ever considered replacing the old servants and getting new ones. Baba told Amir if he ever said anything like that evrer again that he would Beat Amir. From there Baba and Amirs relationship went down hill. Amir dislikes Hassan so much he tried to start a pomegrant fight with him to see what would his reactions be. Like the loyal person Hassan is instead of retalieating, Hassan hit himself with a pomegrant. When Amir turned thir-teen Baba through a big party for him. everyone was invited even Assefs family. Assef teased Amir by giving him a autobiography on Hitler.
on the day of the kite tournament Hassan and Amir are partners, Amir flies the kite And Hassan goes and grabs them after they fall(the kite runner). so as there in the tournament Amir does really good flying the kite. in fact he did so good that he was the last kite standing, and when your the last kite standing that means you are the winner of the tournament. when the kite finnaly falls Hassan goes after the kite so he can bring it back. As Hassan brings back the kite he runs in to some trouble. he runs into Assef and two of his friends chaseing Hassan into an allie, and as thier in the alley Amir was looking for Hassan and the kite,he see's Hassan but he just hieds behind a wall he doesnt say a word or try to help Hassan. Assef rapes Hassan while the others hold him down. Amir then runs awayleaving the scene.after Hassan gets raped Amir finds him and amir plays like he didnt see anything. Amir gets the Kite and he gives it to Baba, Baba is extremely happy Amir and he embraces him with love.

poor Amir and poor hassan! both of them struggle deeply in there own ways. Amir struggles to find a true friend, someone who is not a servant just a friend. Because Amir becomes really irritated by hassan because he is to loyal to Amir. he gets really jealous of hassan because he thinks his dad likes him more. for example when he over heard one of there conversation. Baba and RaRahim Khan were talking about how Amir is not becoming a man, he cant stick up for himself he always has to get Hassan to srick up for hime.

Hassan is the exact opposite of Amir. because hassan is very kind luving and generous. in most kids eyes i would say that hassan is the perfect friend. Hassan trys hard to regain there friendship but amir is very unhappy with amir.

New York Times:China’s Economy Growing at a Breakneck Pace

To day Chinas economy went up 11.9 percent rewriting the record books to the fastest growing country in over a decade. When asked how they grew so fast china replies by saying that they did massive trades, new factories, roads, bridges, and real estate. I think that it’s very coincidental that the leading supplying country in the war in Darfur is china, and all of a sudden the leading supplier is now the leading country growing economically. Not only are they a leading supplier for the war in Darfur but also the war on global warming and pollution. I think that they are the leading country economically for the wrong reason. i think its safe to say that there leading economicaly because alot of there money and oil come straight from sudan. And in return the money that they give is exchanged for weapons that they send and those weapons are used to kill innocent tribal people. so think twice befor you call china a "leader".

new york times:Sudan: Underground Lake Could Ease Darfur Crisis

Water in Sudan! To day researches at Boston University found an extra source of water in western Sudan. It appears to be a lake about the size of Massachusetts or the popular lake Erie. This new water source can be a big help on the crisis in Darfur. At night girls go fetch water from pales far out of their native Darfur village. Boys don’t fetch water because they are high at risk of being murdered, while the girls go out because they wont be killed they’ll be raped! And that’s a dreadful decision that the mothers of these children have to face. A Geologist team has made a plan to add 1,000 Wales to be dug for farmers, and herders to cease the problem of competition over scarce resources, which in this case its water.

And for this to just suddenly change it’s devastating to most people. The wig has been around since the 1600, and back then they symbolized a representation on the British legal system. But lord Phillips was just simply annoyed, by the smelly and hot wigs. and he didnt think about himself but he also thought about the government and how they spend 3,000 dollars a piece!

The Power of One

The power of one has been an amazing book, as i wacth peekay grow up it amazes. the way he comes at life and his perspective on things is far different. i really enjoy the hobbies that him his grandfather, doc, and his nanny do. the way the arthur explains it and describes the life of peekay really makes him come to life. i really enjoy the music sessions that doc and peekay share with each other, but its the guards really make me sick.

today as i read the newyork times i read a article about Bush not considering the withdraw of the troops in iraq.although besides the fact that the troops are costing us 12billion dollars a month, and with that money we sent close to a trillion dollars. and also 3,605 familys have been devasted by loosing a family member to the war.Earlier this year Bush vetoed legislation that would have set a deadline for U.S. troop withdrawals. In recent days three Republicans, Sens. Richard Lugar of Indiana, George Voinovich of Ohio and Pete Domenici of New Mexico, have announced they can no longer support Bush's Iraq strategy and have called on the president to start reducing the military's role there.

with this in mind and with all of this evidence bush doesnt no what hes doing. from loosing consent from other country bush is bascally in this for himself!

New York Times sentence official to death for corruption

today, for the second time in three month a very important official at chinas top food and drug watchdog agency is being sent to death for corruption and approving counterfeit drugs. until 2005 Cao Wenzhuang was charged with accepting over 300,000 in bribes from two pharmacetical companies.

to me i would say that death is a really hard punishment for basically stilling money,
i think that its a cruel punishment for anyone. i think the city of shanghai needs to revaluate there dicissions.

new york times

Todays reading was on the Clash at the Mosque in capital pakistan, and how shots were fired and tear gass was thrown. it all started when local students confronted government forces, because the government forces were trying to place barbed wire around the mosque. then hell broke loose as students stoll guns from the government forces and shots began to fire.

my personal opinion is that the government forces shouldnt have been there in the first place and that the kids should have never grabed the guns. and for those actions nine people died.

the power of one

the power of one the book is way different from the movie itself. the movie only shows a brief description on the little boy "pisskop". for example the movie not one time mentioned any thing about Pisskop being sercumcised. or any thing about the viour making him take a shower. but it did have some similarities. for example all the times he peed in the bed, and when the 11 year olds peed on his head.

The U.S ties Iran to deadly Iraq Attack!

The article i read to day was mainly about how the Quds force is supplying Iraq with bombs and weapons. And how the U.S is trying to cooperate with the Iraqi government so to restore security and trust. At a time Karbala attack was carried out iraqi men dressed as american soldiers with forged I.D cards. the Quds have done a numerous of attacks including the recent one. in iraq the list of problems go on for days. But it the little things and people that make it a worse place. especially coming from a horible background such as, there ex president SUdan Hussien. if the people of iraq up lift themselves by doing right and helping out other people, iraq would make a huge turn around and become a better place. Not only for themselves but the world in general, because if iraq would live better and do right I dont think that our U.S troops would be there rite now.
