Reflection
All Quiet on the Western FrontEnrich Maria Remarque

All quiet on the western front was a great book with a slow start. In the begging I could not stand this book. Although, as they went from harmless and innocent schoolboys to killing soldiers the book was now more interesting. It was great how Remarque gave us specific details about the war. And how he built relationships with Paul and his real close friends from high school. Remarque is a great author but a few things that he could have done better was in the begging he should have grabbed our attention as the reader, instead of starting in a slow and boring place like the cafeteria it should have been on the battle field. Also as I was reading Connors blog I agree with him when he said the book had a lot of characters but they were poorly developed. As the book went on I really enjoyed it and its graphic war scenes. Would I recommend this book? Of course I would, but I would tell the person the beginning is an extremely slow beginning.
