Not On Our Watch final blog

Save the best for last! And that’s exactly what Don Cheadle and John Pendergrass exactly did. They taught me so much on what I can do stop the genocide or at least help out. Not only did they list ways that you can help but under those ways they also told us the audience about successful stories and how they followed the procedures and they actually made a difference. Those stories really captured my eye and my attention to actually draw me in to pay attention. But the most engaging thing in the book was the pictures. And with the pictures they gave us a brief description on what happening in the photo. That to me was the icing on the cake those pictures were not expected but they were a surprise. It sort of gave me a step away from reading and it made me more interested on the Darfur genocide. Overall I really enjoyed the book, it’s like we took a break from history and we jumped into the present. When we first got our books in L.A. I was not shore if I wanted to read, but reading these last three chapters I am extremely happy that I read. I am happy that Don Cheadle and John Pendergrass collaborated to write such an amazing book that gives you details on how to save a person, a village, and a city all in one book. Save Darfur!
