| This Thursday event was one to remember. We started the night off by stuffing the pamphlets. Then we all were let in first, because we were given a copy of Don and josh’s brand new books that didn’t even make it to the stores yet. After about an hour of waiting the show eventually started. It was a life-changing event for me and hopefully my class too. We began the night by watching a documentary made by high school students. Not to brag or sound like we are way better, I think they should have left the documentary making up to High Tech High. Then that's when josh and don came up on stage and they began to speak about Darfur and what’s happening there. We as a class had a great understanding of what was happening in Darfur. Don and josh I think really cleared it up about what’s happening there. After they were done talking these kids from some local high school asked really obvious question that we all already new about. My opinion is that they should of let High Tech High ask the questions, because I think that we were more stronger mentally about the issues that are going on today about Darfur instead of the local high school. After about three questions from the local high school students they opened up the floor to the audience. One question from an audience member was that “what can we do to help save Darfur”? And then Don and Josh went on for about 15 minutes about ways that you could possibly help save Darfur. As one of my classmates Lucien was getting ready to ask a Question he was rudely interrupted by some odd man with a mullet, who was saying random things about Dick Chaney. The security guards eventually escorted him out. After Lucien asked his question the event was over. That night was a night to remember I personally had fun and I learned lots of things. Thank you Cortney and Ms. Alderson! |
